Head of On Air

The Head of On Air is responsible for creating a joined-together, unified broadcast. Working closely with the shows, I set up producers who look after a group of shows. Through producers, FreshAir.org.uk’s shows can be given guidance on content and can work towards a station goal – in a similar way to how professional radio operates. I am also a point of contact for all of the station teams (Music, Arts, News, etc.) and the committee to filter station messages and great content through to on-air. So, for example, if we are putting on a gig, we maximise on-air impact or if a show has created some great content we cross-promote it with similar shows.
