Gig Review

While Twin Sisters latest album In Heaven (2011 Domino Records) is delicate and bubbles on in a soft drone, I was quite surprised and pleased by the power and hypnotic nature of their live performance.

As the crowds began to flood the floor of Edinburgh's HMV Picturehouse
it was obvious that the night was going to be something special. Avid
fans of The Darkness, eager to see one of the band's first live
performances in 5 years, are brimming with anticipation...

It is rare to see a headlining act get up on stage with no announcement and begin to casually set up
all of his gear. It is even rarer to see a man, moments before launching into an incredible 2.5 hour
set take off a sock and then stick it over his microphone, but then again...most men are not Jeffrey
Lewis.

London hailing electronic dubstep duo Nero are currently touring the UK with their live show. Tickets
were in high demand at a mere £10 and so the venue was full to the brim with excited Nero fans
ready to dance.

Before Justin Vernon took to the stage at Usher Hall last week, it was his girlfriend Kathleen Edwards who provided the support and she proved to be a more than worthy warm up act for the Bon Iver front man.
